Dalal Hamed Mundani has 13 years of experience in investment management and corporate governance. She is currently an Investment Manager at the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) in the Direct Holdings Department. In this role, she establishes corporate governance best practices for government-owned enterprises, analyse financial statements to support key decisions, and monitors financial performance. Additionally, she contributes to the evaluation and implementation of new investment strategies.

Dalal earned an MSc in Financial Risk Management with Merit from the University of Leicester and a BSc in Finance and Financial Institutions with high honours from Kuwait University’s College of Business Administration. She has also passed the CFA Level II exam, further enhancing her expertise in the field.

Dalal began her career overseeing private equity funds across the MENA region. She led investment proposals, built relationships with fund managers, and evaluated performances to ensure the success of deployed capital.

She was also part of the Asset Management Department, where she gained extensive experience in global financial markets. Her responsibilities involved developing investment policies, optimizing portfolio risk, return, and liquidity, and creating Strategic Asset Allocations.

Beyond her investment expertise, Dalal represents KIA on the Board of Directors of the Industrial Bank of Kuwait, where she plays an active role in both the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Her experience within a sovereign governmental institution, where she navigated political pressures and collaborated with influential leaders, has fostered her independence and leadership capabilities. These qualities are fundamental to her role as the Chair of TICG’s Board of Directors.
